Tour of 8 hours in a private regimen, ideal for those who love nature, landscape, cultura, tradition and gastronomy. You’ll be accompanied by a TuriAzores guide throughout all the day, that will take you to the best spots to be visited on the island, including: the view to the city of Angra do Heroísmo, from the top of Pico das Cruzinhas (Monte Brasil); passing through the historical center of the city that was capital of Portugal twice (Angra do Heroísmo) and that is the host of the festivities of Sanjoaninas; photograph the biggest islet of the Azores from the viewpoint of Serretinha; visit the oldest church of the island and in its interior admire paintings from the 16th century; climb to the top of Serra do Cume and enjoy the landscape to the biggest volcanic crater of the Azores; enjoy the view from Serra do Facho, the city of Praia da Vitória and it’s wonderful bay of dark sand. Have lunch in a local restaurante and amaze yourself with the taste of the regional plate of the island the “alcatra de carne”. Visit the interior of an empty volcano (Algar do Carvão), one of the natural monuments more visited on the island; walk through the Furnas do Enxofre and watch live to the explusion of volcanic origin gas from the depths of the earth; visit the Museum of Wine in the town of Biscoitos and learn more about the artisanal viniculture; walk around the natural pools of volcanic rock located on the north coast of the island; witness the sunset from the viewpoint of Raminho, where you get an excelent view to the other islands of the central group; end the tour with the visit to an artisanal cheese factory where you can taste their cheese.
