Private 8-hour tour, ideal for those who enjoy nature, landscape, culture, tradition and gastronomy. You will be accompanied by a TuriAzores guide throughout the day, which will take you to the best tourist sites on the island, namely: a view of the city of Angra do Heroísmo from the top of Pico das Cruzinhas; passage through the historic center of the city that was once the capital of Portugal twice (Angra do Heroísmo) and that hosts the Sanjoaninas Festivities; photograph the largest island in the Azores from the Serretinha viewpoint; visit the oldest church on the island and inside, enjoy 16th century paintings; climb to the top of Serra do Cume and enjoy a view of the largest volcanic caldera in the Azores; photograph the Serra do Facho, the city of Praia da Vitória and its wonderful bay of black sand. Have lunch in a local restaurant and enjoy the typical island dish “rump de carne”. Visit the interior of the empty volcano (algar do coal), one of the most visited natural monuments on the island; walk along Furnas do Enxofre and watch live the expulsion of volcanic gases emanating from the earth’s crust; visit the wine museum in the town of Biscoitos and learn more about artisanal winemaking; indulge in a tasting of white table wine and liqueur wines (sweet, medium-dry and dry); stroll through the natural basaltic lava pools located on the north coast of the island; photograph the sunset from the viewpoint of Raminho, where there is an excellent view of islands in the central group; end the tour with a visit to an artisanal cheese factory where you can enjoy a cheese tasting.
